To disable balloon tips in the notification area, follow these Methods: <\/p>\n<p><strong>1. Using GPEdit (Group Policy Editor)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This setting turns off the Balloon notification in the notification area using Group Policy editor .<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/windowsvj.com\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/11\/bn1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; border-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; border-right: 0px\" title=\"bn1\" border=\"0\" alt=\"bn1\" src=\"http:\/\/windowsvj.com\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/11\/bn1-thumb.jpg\" width=\"608\" height=\"382\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Open Run Dialogue Box (Win + R) and type <strong>gpedit.msc<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Navigate to Local Computer policy &gt; User Configuration &gt; Administrative Templates &gt; Start Menu &amp; Taskbar in left hand side pane.<a href=\"http:\/\/windowsvj.com\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/11\/bn2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: inline; margin-left: 0px; border-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; border-right: 0px\" title=\"bn2\" border=\"0\" alt=\"bn2\" align=\"right\" src=\"http:\/\/windowsvj.com\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/11\/bn2-thumb.jpg\" width=\"286\" height=\"165\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Select <strong>Turn off all Balloon notifications <\/strong>setting from right side pane.<\/p>\n<p>Open it and enable it so that no notification balloons will be shown to the user. .<\/p>\n<p>Press OK<\/p>\n<p>&#160;<\/p>\n<p>&#160;<\/p>\n<p><strong>2. Using RegEdit (Registry Editor)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Click <b>Start<\/b>, click <b>Run<\/b>, type <strong>regedit<\/strong>, and then press ENTER. <\/p>\n<p>Navigate to the following subkey: <b>HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\Explorer\\Advanced<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"http:\/\/windowsvj.com\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/11\/disable-baloon.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: inline; margin-left: 0px; border-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; border-right: 0px\" title=\"disable_baloon\" border=\"0\" alt=\"disable_baloon\" align=\"right\" src=\"http:\/\/windowsvj.com\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/11\/disable-baloon-thumb.jpg\" width=\"411\" height=\"238\" \/><\/a><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Right-click the right side pane, create a new <b>DWORD<\/b> value, and then name it EnableBalloonTips. <\/p>\n<p>Double-click <strong>EnableBalloonTips<\/strong>, and then give it a value of <b>0<\/b>. <\/p>\n<p>Close Registry Editor.&#160; <\/p>\n<p>&#160;<\/p>\n<p>Note: To make changes to this setting effective, you must log off and then log back on.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Balloon notifications can be annoying many a times.Good thing is they can be disabled easily in Windows 7.
