GodMode was discovered by my friend <a href=\"http:\/\/windowsvalley.com\">Ramesh Kumar<\/a> when he had posted it at <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/5fcDrR\">Merawindows<\/a> in 2007 with different name. Although godname has been adopted from the cheatcodes in Computer games.<\/p>\n<p>Steps to enable it:<\/p>\n<p>1. Create a new folder in any of the folder in any of your Windows partition.<\/p>\n<p>2. Right-click on the folder and click on rename (or press F2 )<\/p>\n<p>3. Rename the folder as <strong>WindowsVJ.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/windowsvj.com\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/steps-godmode.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; border-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; border-right: 0px\" title=\"steps_godmode\" border=\"0\" alt=\"steps_godmode\" src=\"http:\/\/windowsvj.com\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/steps-godmode-thumb.png\" width=\"538\" height=\"231\" \/><\/a>&#160; <\/p>\n<p>4. Press enter and the icon would change into an extended control panel which enlists all the tasks in Control panel.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/windowsvj.com\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/godmodetasks1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; border-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; border-right: 0px\" title=\"godmodetasks\" border=\"0\" alt=\"godmodetasks\" src=\"http:\/\/windowsvj.com\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/godmodetasks-thumb1.png\" width=\"591\" height=\"370\" \/><\/a>The trick is also said to work in Windows Vista, and although it works fine in 32-bit versions of Vista, it can cause a crash in 64-bit versions of that operating system . It can be referred as an Easter egg in windows.
