The event is to provide a platform for students to interact with the industry representatives and take a look at what Microsoft Research has been doing. At <a href=\"http:\/\/research.microsoft.com\/en-us\/events\/techvista2010\/default.aspx\">Tech Vista 2010<\/a>, Microsoft India <a href=\"http:\/\/businesstechnology.in\/tools\/news\/2010\/01\/22\/Microsoft-launches-portal-for-computer-science-students.html\">launched<\/a> a new Research portal for students.<\/p>\n<p>The portal <a href=\"http:\/\/researchandyou.com\">Research and You<\/a> helps students interact with each other and includes resources giving insights into research as a career and research in the computing field. With a forum open for all to register and participate, Microsoft India defines the website as \u201cA platform for young minds to ideate and discuss various facets of Computer Science\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOver the last few years, we are seeing an increase in the applications for PhDs. At this juncture, it is important for the students to get access to quality information that will help them in deciding on the future, in particular, areas of choice for research,\u201d said Dr. N.
