In addition to being able to insert hyperlinks into cells, you can also insert them into specific chart elements. Links usually open web pages, but they can also lead to pictures, email addresses or programs. The hyperlink itself can be text or a picture.<\/p>\n<p>To create a Hyperlink in Excel : <\/p>\n<h4>1. Select the object where you want to create a hyperlink. This object can be a cell, an object (such as a picture or an element in a chart) or text. <\/h4>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/windowsvj.com\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/image124.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; margin: 0px auto; display: block; float: none; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px\" title=\"image\" border=\"0\" alt=\"image\" src=\"http:\/\/windowsvj.com\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/image_thumb122.png\" width=\"361\" height=\"268\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h4>2. Click Insert &gt; Links &gt; Hyperlink.<\/h4>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/windowsvj.com\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/image125.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; margin: 0px auto; display: block; float: none; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px\" title=\"image\" border=\"0\" alt=\"image\" src=\"http:\/\/windowsvj.com\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/image_thumb123.png\" width=\"644\" height=\"104\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>3. The shortcut for inserting a hyperlink is <strong>ctrl-k<\/strong>. Excel gives us the option of selecting the following as a destination for our link: (Very similar to creating hyperlinks in Microsoft Expression Web)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>an existing file or web page <\/li>\n<li>a location in the current workbook <\/li>\n<li>a new document <\/li>\n<li>an email address <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/windowsvj.com\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/image126.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; margin: 0px auto; display: block; float: none; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px\" title=\"image\" border=\"0\" alt=\"image\" src=\"http:\/\/windowsvj.com\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/image_thumb124.png\" width=\"644\" height=\"340\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>These options work in almost the same way.<\/p>\n<p>4. To insert a hyperlink to a web page, Click the Existing File or Web Page button and you should see something like this:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/windowsvj.com\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/image127.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; margin: 0px auto; display: block; float: none; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px\" title=\"image\" border=\"0\" alt=\"image\" src=\"http:\/\/windowsvj.com\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/image_thumb125.png\" width=\"429\" height=\"281\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>5. In the top box you can type some descriptive text for the link (Anchor Text) . Also, you can click the screentip button and type in some text to supplement anchor text.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/windowsvj.com\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/image182.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; margin: 0px auto; display: block; float: none; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px\" title=\"image[18]\" border=\"0\" alt=\"image[18]\" src=\"http:\/\/windowsvj.com\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/image18_thumb1.png\" width=\"399\" height=\"298\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Type the URL of the web page you want to link to, in the address box at the bottom of the window. <\/p>\n<p>6. Here\u2019s an example of a link to a web page, the URL of the web page appears as hover text when you hover over it.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/windowsvj.com\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/image128.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; margin: 0px auto; display: block; float: none; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px\" title=\"image\" border=\"0\" alt=\"image\" src=\"http:\/\/windowsvj.com\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/image_thumb126.png\" width=\"451\" height=\"309\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><p>7. You may also place the hyperlinks in the excel document to any cell reference in any of the Sheet.
