External email clients like Gmail can be configures to Microsoft Outlook 2010 so that these users too can enjoy the features of it. To configure an email account with Microsoft Outlook 2010 : (For illustration, I have taken Gmail as an example)<\/p>\n<p>1. First of all launch MS Outlook 2010 application from the start button.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/windowsvj.com\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/image173.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; margin: 0px auto; display: block; float: none; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px\" title=\"image\" border=\"0\" alt=\"image\" src=\"http:\/\/windowsvj.com\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/image_thumb171.png\" width=\"644\" height=\"298\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Application can be invoked from the taskbar in case you have pinned the same over there.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/windowsvj.com\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/image160.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"image\" border=\"0\" alt=\"image\" src=\"http:\/\/windowsvj.com\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/image_thumb158.png\" width=\"405\" height=\"120\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>2. Navigate to <strong>File &gt; I<\/strong><strong>nfo<\/strong> category, here from the <strong>Account Settings<\/strong> option, click the drop down button and choose <strong>Add Account<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/windowsvj.com\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/image174.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; margin: 0px auto; display: block; float: none; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px\" title=\"image\" border=\"0\" alt=\"image\" src=\"http:\/\/windowsvj.com\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/image_thumb172.png\" width=\"644\" height=\"384\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>3. In the next step, select Email Account, enter <strong>Your Name<\/strong>, <strong>Email Address<\/strong>, and <strong>Password<\/strong> and click <strong>Next.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/windowsvj.com\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/image175.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; margin: 0px auto; display: block; float: none; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px\" title=\"image\" border=\"0\" alt=\"image\" src=\"http:\/\/windowsvj.com\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/image_thumb173.png\" width=\"644\" height=\"450\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>4. Outlook 2010 will now establish a connection to the relevant network, search for Email server settings (in this case, Gmail server settings) and log you on to the server automatically.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/windowsvj.com\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/image176.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; margin: 0px auto; display: block; float: none; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px\" title=\"image\" border=\"0\" alt=\"image\" src=\"http:\/\/windowsvj.com\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/image_thumb174.png\" width=\"644\" height=\"451\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>5. Within a couple of minutes, Outlook 2010 would configure email server settings. However, you can select the check box at the bottom of the dialog box and manually configure the server settings too. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/windowsvj.com\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/image177.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; margin: 0px auto; display: block; float: none; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px\" title=\"image\" border=\"0\" alt=\"image\" src=\"http:\/\/windowsvj.com\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/image_thumb175.png\" width=\"644\" height=\"450\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>You would receive an email in the mail box that would be a <strong>Microsoft Outlook Test Message <\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>6. Click <strong>Finish<\/strong> button and you are done.
