Having a single Internet connection could have been hindrance had it not been a feature present in Windows 7 to share the Internet.<\/p>\n<p>To enable Internet Sharing of USB Modem in Windows 7, follow the steps:<\/p>\n<p>1. Navigate to system tray click on the arrow button to show the list of available processes and tasks.<a href=\"http:\/\/windowsvj.com\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/image6.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; margin: ; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: block; float: none; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px\" title=\"image\" border=\"0\" alt=\"image\" src=\"http:\/\/windowsvj.com\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/image_thumb5.png\" width=\"244\" height=\"230\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>2. Select the Internet access from the list available and click on Open Network &amp; sharing Center. (You may also reach here via Control Panel)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/windowsvj.com\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/image7.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; margin: ; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: block; float: none; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px\" title=\"image\" border=\"0\" alt=\"image\" src=\"http:\/\/windowsvj.com\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/image_thumb6.png\" width=\"270\" height=\"518\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>3. From the Left side pane, select manage Wireless Networks<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/windowsvj.com\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/image8.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; margin: ; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: block; float: none; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px\" title=\"image\" border=\"0\" alt=\"image\" src=\"http:\/\/windowsvj.com\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/image_thumb7.png\" width=\"625\" height=\"390\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>4.Select the Add option in the <strong>Manage Wireless Networks<\/strong> Window.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/windowsvj.com\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/image9.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; margin: ; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: block; float: none; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px\" title=\"image\" border=\"0\" alt=\"image\" src=\"http:\/\/windowsvj.com\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/image_thumb8.png\" width=\"620\" height=\"379\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>5. From the <strong>Manually connect to a wireless network <\/strong>pop up window, select Create an <strong>Ad hoc network.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/windowsvj.com\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/image10.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; margin: ; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: block; float: none; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px\" title=\"image\" border=\"0\" alt=\"image\" src=\"http:\/\/windowsvj.com\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/image_thumb9.png\" width=\"570\" height=\"341\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>6. Click next after reading details about wireless ad-hoc network.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/windowsvj.com\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/image11.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; margin: ; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: block; float: none; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px\" title=\"image\" border=\"0\" alt=\"image\" src=\"http:\/\/windowsvj.com\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/image_thumb10.png\" width=\"576\" height=\"423\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>7. Configure Ad-hoc network. Enter desired network name, security type and security key.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/windowsvj.com\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/image12.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; margin: ; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: block; float: none; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px\" title=\"image\" border=\"0\" alt=\"image\" src=\"http:\/\/windowsvj.com\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/image_thumb11.png\" width=\"568\" height=\"420\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>8. Make sure you select an encryption type. Make the security type WEP and password protect it using 5 or 13 character key.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/windowsvj.com\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/image13.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; margin: ; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: block; float: none; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px\" title=\"image\" border=\"0\" alt=\"image\" src=\"http:\/\/windowsvj.com\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/image_thumb12.png\" width=\"563\" height=\"395\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>9. Click on<strong> Turn on Internet Connection sharing <\/strong>to share the internet.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/windowsvj.com\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/image14.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; margin: ; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: block; float: none; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px\" title=\"image\" border=\"0\" alt=\"image\" src=\"http:\/\/windowsvj.com\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/image_thumb13.png\" width=\"565\" height=\"415\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>10. Internet Sharing is enabled. Press Okay to proceed. You have now enabled WiFi connection from your laptop available to other users.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/windowsvj.com\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/image15.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; margin: ; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: block; float: none; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px\" title=\"image\" border=\"0\" alt=\"image\" src=\"http:\/\/windowsvj.com\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/image_thumb14.png\" width=\"570\" height=\"421\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>To connect to your system\u2019s internet one must simply locate and select the network just created and connect using the encryption security key as entered.<\/p>\n<p>11.
