Users on Microsoft’s search engine, Bing, click on more ads than people who use Google or Yahoo – 55 percent more, according to an industry study.

Bing’s click-through rate in June was 1.5 percent, meaning 1.50 percent of searchers clicked on a paid link, according to search-advertiser Chitika. Meanwhile, Yahoo’s CTR was 1.24 percent and Google’s was 0.97 percent.

So what does that mean? Companies that advertise on Bing might have a better chance of having someone click on their ads. But chance is different than absolute numbers; Google’s reach is light-years wider – in this survey, Google had 83 percent of ad impressions.

According to TechCrunch survey numbers are as follows:

Impressions Clicks CTR (%) %
Google 26,929,367 260,518 0.97 55.11
Yahoo 3,157,648 39,008 1.24 21.47
Bing 2,236,366 33,558 1.50
TOTAL 32,323,381 333,084 1.03
