Upload files from Windows Live Writer

Many a times there is a need to attach a file together with blog post. Windows live writer provides feature to attach an image,map but there is not any feature to upload an file directly from Windows Live Writer. This plugin allows you to upload a file using WLW which comes in handy just for posts like this one.

Insert File Plugin for Windows Live Writer is compatible with all the versions of Windows Live Writer. This is a perfect alternative to manually upload an attachment that you want to include with a post. After installation of this plugin you can find the feature “Insert file attachment” in Insert option of WLW. Also you may set Link Caption which gives a name to the file & other is a Link Prefix that allows you to display a prefix before your file’s link like “Download: “ followed by the file caption.
