WordPress 3.0 beta has been launched and released for public testing. WordPress 3.0 is having much better features than earlier version , with merger of WordPress and WordPress MU (multi-user).

Here are few new features of WordPress 3.0 :

• New Default theme Twenty Ten, including the custom background and header options.
• Custom Background Image support
• Changing your own Username & Password
• Custom post types : It’s really easy to add new types.
• Easily manage multiple blogs via single Dashboard as WordPress and WordPress MU have merged

There are many more features which makes WordPress 3.0 worth installing. You can read more about WordPress 3.0 from it’s official page.

This is an early beta. This means there are a few things still finishing. Testers can use the wp-testers mailing list to discuss bugs encounterd.
