Zune Market place for Indian Windows Phone 7 users has been made available to the users via the downloadable Zune App. Although different users have been enjoying levels of success accessing the Zune Marketplace for India, it seems for now only applications will be available, no Zune Pass music or video content.
With this, Windows Phone 7 users in India will be able to search for, buy and download apps using Zune Marketplace and will be able to pay in Indian currency and download paid apps as well. Till now, the Zune software was only a medium to deliver software updates to phones based on the platform. As promised by Microsoft within some time Windows Phone Marketplace for Apps will also be launched shortly in India for Windows Phone 7 users.
Those using a US-based Live ID in Windows Phone 7 device, and have integrated it with their Windows Phone 7 device, will face some trouble switching it to an India ID and might have to hard reset it.
