Laptop heating is a problem that all of us may have encountered , although it can not be stopped but the heat can be reduced with these tips.

Cause for Heat up of Laptop :

  • Laptop Vents may have acquired dust and the heat emitted is not emitting out.
  • Working in a place where Room Temperature is higher,it is preferable working in the rooms with AC’s.
  • Improper Placement of Laptop may block the airflow through your laptop’s air vent.
  • Malfunctioning of laptop internal fan.
  • Over powering laptops such as overclocking the BIOS may be the reason as well.

Reducing the Heat Emitted by Laptops

  • Clean laptop vents using compressed air in cans or use some portable pressurized air to blow out the dust from all the vents of laptop.
  • Room Temperature must not be more,as stated above AC’s are preferred or a cooler place to work .
  • Check if Laptop fan is working fine for you.
  • BIOS can be tweaked to Adjust Power Settings
  • Laptop Cooling Pad .They prevent your lap from burnig while working.

  1. heat can also be reduced by using a notebook cooler. There are some good ones on the market but basically you have the choice of those with fans and without fans. Personally I’ve experienced the best cooling from cooling pads like the one from ThermaPAK. I found the fans were noisy and stop working after a few months. Both fans and cooling pads go for around $30. Good investment if you looking to protect your laptop.

    1. well i wud prefer one with the cooling fans..but they somehow tend to increase the laptop weight by atleast uptpp 500 grams..i have seen few at Croma Electronics Market in as low as 1200 (Approx 25$) to upto 2500 (50 $) both with fan.Wothout fan were available as low as 300(6$)
