Microsoft has recently launched Release candidate version of Internet Explorer 9. The IE9 installer is available in over 40 languages. However it is not available in Hindi language. India being a bigger consumer market for Microsoft, they have made the availability of IE9 RC in Hindi via LIP (Language Interface Packs).
As the Wiki quotes “A Language Interface Pack (LIP) is a localized skin for localizing software in emerging or minority language markets, such as Lithuanian, Serbian, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil and Thai. Based on Multilingual User Interface technology, a LIP also requires the software to have a base installed language and provides users with an approximately 80 percent localized user experience by translating a reduced set of user interface elements.
